About us
What this is
Blue Wave Damage tracks the new majority. Every report is something a Democratic official, candidate or party leader said, did or promised since Election Day, November 3, 2026, with their exact words and a link to where they said it.
What satire is
Satire is commentary that uses humor, irony and exaggeration to poke at people with power. It is one of the oldest traditions in American politics, from colonial pamphlets to editorial cartoons to late-night monologues. It is commentary, not news reporting.
How we do it
The words are real. Every quote is copied word for word from its source, and every report links to it, so you can read the original yourself. The rest is ours: the headlines, the damage ratings and the days-without-an-incident sign are satire, our take on their words. For the facts, follow the link.
The damage scale
Every report gets a category from 1, hot air, to 5, subpoenas. It is our opinion, not a measurement.
Mistakes
If we get a quote or a source wrong, we fix it at the top of the report and say what changed.
Photos
Every photo is public domain or openly licensed, from Wikimedia Commons, toned to match the site and credited at the bottom of each page.
